Buying Products that are on TikTok from Chinese Suppliers

In this blog, I bought products I saw on TikTok, but instead of getting them from their website or AliExpress, I bought them directly here in China and we’re going to compare the prices to see how much money they're actually making.

Check out their ads in the videos below.

First Product

Spinner buds combine the charm of classic fidget spinners with a unique twist, offering an engaging and mesmerizing experience but let's dive into the real deal: How much cash these spinner buds are raking in!

Most dropshippers initially source their products from AliExpress. The cost, inclusive of shipping, hovers around $15, but the product's arrival to the US takes roughly a month. Considering these factors, the profit amounts to nearly $20 per item, excluding advertising expenses.

Now can you guess how much I would make selling it from here in China to the US?

As previously shown, the product costs just under $7, with an estimated shipping expense of approximately $5.50 based on its weight. Selling it at the original store's price of $35 could result in a profit of about $22.50 per product for the US market. The exciting part? Shipping times can be trimmed down to just five to eight days, a vast improvement over the month-long wait.

For UK viewers, the numbers get even better – a potential profit of around $24 per product with shipping times as short as three to five business days.

Second Product

Meet the Magnetique Phone Holder, a cutting-edge solution redefining how we handle our smartphones. This sleek and versatile accessory boasts a magnetic design that provides effortless hands-free support for your phone in various situations.

Now the price on their website is $20 for either a white or a black version but how much profit are they actually making?

Upon examining the shipping costs from AliExpress, it's evident that sending orders directly to customers costs around $5, yielding a profit of approximately $15.

If we were to procure the product at roughly $1 and ship it to the US for about $4.25, our anticipated profit margin would amount to approximately $14.60.

However, here's an interesting twist: this profit margin is slightly less than what AliExpress offers. The reason? Our expedited delivery timeline of five to eight business days contrasts starkly with the over three-week waiting period for packages from AliExpress.
